The equipment and support needs of children living with special needs are extensive and many things remain uncovered or partially covered by government and healthcare programs.

Variety’s Special Needs Program provides support to children and their families by covering costs related to specialized equipment, supplies, and services not covered by any other source.

Special Needs Individual Grant Application

From hearing aids and sport wheelchairs, to assistive communication devices, specialized strollers, speech therapy, physiotherapy and more. This program helps children of all abilities reach their potential.

Please note that if you would like to submit more than one request for funding a separate application is required.

Note:

Applications requesting the support of $100-$2500 are assessed approximately every 6-8 weeks. Applications requesting the support of $2500-$5000 are assessed on a quarterly basis with meetings occurring in December, March, June and September.

Variety’s Special Needs Program also provides GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS to deliver programming to children living with special needs.

By providing direct financial assistance to organizations to deliver on behalf of Variety life-enriching services that support the growth and development of children living with special needs. From music therapy to adaptive swimming programs, Variety partners with other organizations to reach more children and help expand programming that has proven benefits for children living with special needs.
